Detection Steps of CCTV Pipe Inspection Equipment

Pipe CCTV inspection refers to an endoscopic camera inspection system, which can also be understood as municipal pipe CCTV pipe inspection equipment, composed of a controller, cable reel, camera, and crawler. This CCTV pipe inspection equipment can navigate obstacles, move freely inside the drainage pipe, and timely transmit the internal information of the pipe to the external operation platform for comprehensive use, recording the condition of the pipe.

What Is the Use of CCTV Pipe Inspection Equipment?

CCTV pipe inspection equipment can not only detect blockages inside the pipe but can also check the material, diameter, leakage, and damage of the pipe. Regular closed-circuit television drainage pipe inspections can greatly protect the pipe, identify and resolve issues, and extend the service life of drainage pipes.

Workers responsible for municipal operations can see through pipe inspection robots monitoring which section of the underground pipe has leaks, which section is compressed, and which section has more silt. Simply put, CCTV pipe inspection equipment is an intelligent device used to check the health of stormwater pipes, replacing the traditional method of visually inspecting the internal conditions of pipes.

Problems discovered during the CCTV inspection will be "recorded," and subsequent repair projects will follow.

Basic Inspection Steps of CCTV Pipe Inspection Equipment

Accept on-site inspection – Develop inspection plan – Clean and unblock drainage – Inspect and collect closed-circuit television inspection system video data – Summarize data and issue inspection report – Verify the accuracy of the data – Submit evaluation report.

Pipe closed-circuit television inspection technology has been widely used in the detection of drainage networks and has gained extensive application in major cities in China in recent years, resulting in better outcomes and experiences.

What Are the Inspection Steps for CCTV Pipe Inspection Equipment?

Drainage Sedimentation

Use a slurry pump to drain the sewage in the inspection well to the slurry at the bottom of the well. Segment the pipes to be cleaned according to the distribution of pipe diameter and length. There is a segment between two inspection wells with the same pipe diameter.

Sludge Dilution

Inject water into the inspection well chamber from both ends using a high-pressure water truck, stirring the sludge in the pipe inspection well and sewer with an excavator to dilute the sludge; manually cooperate with the machinery to continuously stir the sludge until it is diluted to water.

Sewage Suction

Use a sewage suction truck to clean the sludge in the two inspection wells, use a high-pressure water gun to inject residual sludge in the inspection wells into the well chamber, diluting again to complete suction.

Sewage Interception

Set plugs, block the inflow pipe of the first section of well chambers from upstream to downstream, and then block downstream inspection well outlets and other pipe inlets. Only the inlets and outlets of this segment need to be left open.

High-Pressure Washing Truck Flushing

Use a high-pressure washing truck to clear the pipes, insert the water hose of the high-pressure washing truck into the bottom of the upstream inspection well, aim the nozzle at the water flow direction, and spray water into the pipe, continuously sucking sludge into the downstream inspection well chamber.

Ventilation

For the safety of underground operations and to ensure a clear video inside the pipe, ventilation of the pipe may be necessary. Open the upstream and downstream well covers of the dredging section, blowing air from one end with an axial fan while suctioning from the other end to ensure adequate ventilation.

Inspection

After thoroughly cleaning the pipe, use CCTV pipe inspection equipment to inspect the pipe. The inspection is completed by professional technicians operating the pipe cleaning machine under their guidance. Damage, deformation, leakage, and sewage discharge are described by quantity, location, and degree, and recorded, keeping original records and image data to provide the basis for the final report results.
