Steps to Do Well With Pipeline Robot CCTV Inspection

Pipeline Robot CCTV inspection should not be carried out with water. When the site conditions cannot be met, measures should be taken to lower the water level, ensuring that the water level inside the pipeline does not exceed 20% of the pipeline diameter. This ensures the water level inside the pipeline meets the inspection requirements. When the current conditions are not met, before the inspection, measures such as blocking and diverting the pipeline should be implemented.

Pipeline Robot Working Principle

Pipeline Robot uses sensor devices based on technologies such as vision, sound waves, and electromagnetism and is controlled remotely to enter and inspect the inside of the pipeline. Its working principle is mainly as follows:

  • Physical sensors: By equipping the robot with cameras, LiDAR, and infrared sensors, real-time image data and physical information of the inside of the pipeline can be obtained. This information includes the size, shape, bending angle, cracks, and damages of the pipeline, which are used to assess construction quality and identify pipeline risks.

  • Sensitive Communication and Positioning System: The robot is also equipped with a highly sensitive communication and positioning system, allowing for two-way communication with the monitoring end. This system can locate and track the position of the robot inside the pipeline to enable effective control and management.

  • Software control system: The robot is equipped with a high-performance software control system that allows remote control, data reading and analysis, and decision-making. This enables the robot to quickly and accurately inspect and evaluate the drainage pipelines.

Pipeline Robot CCTV Inspection Method Introduction

  • Control the pipeline robot's forward and backward movement and speed using the buttons and knobs on the main controller panel. Here are the operation precautions:

  • After placing the crawler inside the pipeline, rotate the speed control knob to zero.

  • Check if the crawler wheels are secure.

  • When starting to operate the crawler, first press the forward button, then rotate the speed control knob clockwise.

  • Proper placement of the crawler: Attach a rope to both the front and rear of the crawler, slowly lower it into the well, adjusting the ropes to keep the crawler flat at the bottom of the well in the position of the pipeline opening, facing the direction of the inspected pipeline.

  • It is strictly forbidden to use the connecting cable at the rear of the crawler as a suspension rope.

  • It is strictly forbidden to use only the rear rope of the crawler for single-rope suspension (placing the crawler head down).

  • Attach a traction rope with a tensile strength greater than60kg to the rear of the crawler to aid in dragging the crawler backward.

  • It is strictly forbidden to drag the connecting cable to assist the crawler.

  • It is strictly forbidden to open the crawler by oneself. If there are any problems, please notify and submit them to the manufacturer's maintenance personnel for resolution.

  • Before storing the crawler, use a dedicated plug protector to cover the front and rear plug seats of the crawler.

  • After the work is completed, clean the pipeline robot.
